Real Madrid left-back Marcelo is giving away his Champions League winner’s medal – in order to increase his following on Facebook.
The Brazilian played in last Saturday’s triumph over Real’s city rivals Atletico Madrid in Milan’s San Siro and scored a crucial penalty in the eventual decisive shoot-out.
The 2016 Champions League was the second European triumph Marcelo has been involved in, after he came off the bench in the 2014 final – also against Ateltico – in Lisbon.
And it appears the big-haired defender only needs one keepsake as he announced via his social media channels earlier today that you could be the lucky recipient of the medal he collected at the weekend, along with a new pair of Adidas boots, if you simply share his post along with a ‘memory of being first’:
