Real Madrid No Longer World's Most Valuable Sports Team As Forbes Release 2016 List

For the first time since 2011, a football team is not a top of the Forbes list of the world's most valuable sports teams.
Well, actually, it is a football team, an American football team, as the Dallas Cowboys have usurped Real Madrid for the number one spot in a list we must admit we have no idea how is determined. The Cowboys continue to not achieve anything in the NFL, and yet they continue to rise. Go Cowboys!
Eamon Dunphy has been forecasting the death of soccer on RTÉ for some time now, but Real Madrid settling for 2nd place on the Forbes list may be the tipping point. Barcelona and Manchester United round off the three clubs in the top 5.

Other notable names in the top 50 include Arsenal at #23, Man City at #28, Chelsea at #36, and Liverpool at #41.
NFL teams occupied 27 of the top 50, and no NHL, F1, or NASCAR teams made the list at all. Bray Wanderers' position on the list also remains undisclosed at this time.
