Iker Casillas has received plenty of backlash on social media after appearing to make a racist joke to South Korean teammate Suk Hyun-jun on Instagram.
After Suk posted a photo on the social media site, Casillas told his Porto teammate to “open your eyes!”
The 24-year-old striker didn’t take offence but that didn’t prevent Casillas from receiving criticism for his “insensitive” remark.
Some have defended the former Real Madrid goalkeeper, dismissing the comment as a joke between friends.
