Antonio Colak is said to have agreed terms with Arsenal
Colak spent the season on loan with German second-tier side FC Kaiserslautern, scoring seven goals in 25 appearances.
And he has made a big impression, with the club's sporting director Markus Schupp praising his ability in the air and 'quality' eye for goal.
Antonio is a player who brings just the right mentality," he said in April.
"He's a strong-minded player, with a very professional attitude who works a lot on the field for the team and covers large distances.
"He is direct and also strong in the air and has a quality eye for goal."
And according to website Soccerisma, the Gunners have been tracking the 22-year-old for some time and have now agreed personal terms.
The website claims a source close to the player has revealed the deal, although Hoffenheim and the Gunners have yet to agree a fee.
It is said the Bundesliga side may be reluctant to sell given Colak's future potential and the fact he is under contract until June 2017.
