England international Jamie Vardy is all set to make the move to North London giants Arsenal in the upcoming days, as a deal is on the verge of being completed. The 29-year-old star striker is all set to leave the club and will move to the Emirates, after winning the Premier League in the previous campaign with the Foxes. The attacker was expected to undergo a medical with Arsene Wenger's side today and a move could be completed soon, as suggested earlier by reports and later confirmed by Olivier Giroud as well.
Well if a move does go through, it will be a huge boost for the French manager's side who were keen on adding a world-class striker to their squad.
Further, manager Claudio Ranieri will now have to look for a replacement for his prized asset, as he looks to fill the void at Leicester. Here are three players that the Italian boss can consider signing this summer, to replace Vardy:
3. Alexandre Lacazette
The Lyon forward has been linked with a move to the Premier League for quite some time and had expressed his liking for the Foxes previously. This could mean that he could be signed by Ranieri, as a replacement for Vardy. He is 25 years old and has made a total of 172 Ligue 1 appearances for the French outfit, scoring 72 goals. The quick attacker would be a good fit at the KP Stadium if he does complete the move this summer if Lyon does intend to cash in on the France international.
2. Alvaro Morata
The Spanish international is quite keen on leaving Serie A champions Juventus, as he looks to join another club. Arsenal were being linked with the former Real Madrid man, though they might not be interested anymore as they are on the verge of signing Vardy now.
Leicester could use the money made from the deal to get Morata to England, as Juve are already looking to sign Liverpool's Christian Benteke in the upcoming days, as per reports. The 23-year-old Spaniard wanted regular game time and also to play in the Champions League next season, something that Leicester can offer him.
1. Daniel Sturridge
The Liverpool striker has been struggling with a lot of injury problems, though the Reds have been quite patient with him so far. However, if the champions of England make a good offer for him, he could possibly be sold, with the Merseyside outfit looking to cash in on him. Speculations suggested that Arsenal wanted to sign the Englishman as well, though with Vardy moving to the Emirates, he is so far going nowhere.
