Daniel Sturridge insists Liverpool were unlucky against Sevilla but says they'll take Europa League final defeat on the chin

Daniel Sturridge has admitted he thought Liverpool were unlucky in their Europa League final defeat to Sevilla but says they'll take the heartbreak on the chin and move on.
Jurgen Klopp's side were beaten 3-1 by the Spanish side in Basle as they suffered final disappointment for the second time this season.
The Reds appealed for a series of first-half penalties and felt Coke was offside for the Spanish side's crucial third goal as they went down to a defeat Sturridge found hard to take.

It's hard to put into words what happened out there,' Sturridge told Liverpool's website.
'As a team, we were unlucky. I felt in the first-half we worked very hard and put everything into it and in the second we probably got stunned a little bit with the goal.
'And from there, I wouldn't say it was an uphill struggle, but it was probably the experience we lacked in terms of keeping calm. We were unlucky.
'We probably didn't play to the level we could've played, but it's one of those games where you learn from your mistakes.'
In Klopp's first season in charge at Anfield Liverpool have now lost both a Capital One Cup and Europa League final.
Sturridge had given Liverpool a dream start in Switzerland, opening the scoring with a brilliant curling finish.

At that stage it all looked like things were going to plan but a slow start after half-time cost Liverpool dear.
Kevin Gameiro's strike following a mistake by Alberto Moreno got Sevilla back into it and from then on it was the Spanish side who dominated.
Coke's brace of goals saw the Spanish side turn the tables and secure their third successive Europa League crown.
'When you work so hard to get where you are, you're in a final and this is the stage for everyone to step up – it was unlucky for us to not be able to perform as well as we'd have liked to,' a clearly disappointed Sturridge said.
'It's one of those games where you take it on the chin.'

With club commitments done for the season, Sturridge will now turn his attentions to Euro 2016 with England this summer.
But the 26-year-old did have a message for the huge number of travelling Liverpool supporters who made it to Switzerland.
'I just want to thank the fans for travelling out here and making it feel like a home game for us,' he said.
'It was unfortunate we didn't quite perform to the level we could have to lift the trophy for them.'
