Man United set to break Premier League record at Old Trafford... but fans won't be happy

MANCHESTER UNITED are set to break a Premier League record at the weekend… but it’s not one to be happy about.

United host Bournemouth at Old Trafford needing a win and results to go their own way to secure a top four finish.
Rivals Manchester City only need a point at Swansea to seal a Champions League spot as they have a vastly better goal difference

And United’s clash with the Cherries is set to signal a new record in the Premier League for the club.
The Manchester giants have only scored 46 goals this season - the lowest in the 24-year history of the competition.
United’s previous lowest tally was 58 goals scored in the 2004/05 campaign.
That means Louis van Gaal’s side need to score 12 times against Bournemouth just to equal that tally.
