Simeone has negotiated his 2020 stay at the Vicente Calderon to 2018, but will remain the highest paid coach in La Liga – and a club hiring his services will pay a lower amount as compensation.
The former Argentina captain was tempted with offers from Paris Saint Germaine (PSG) and his former club Inter Milan during the last summer transfer window.
However, the former Lazio player admitted that he finds the EPL a very attractive option and could seal a move to England. Simeone has won one La Liga, Copa Del Rey and Europa League titles adding it with the Champions League runners-up medal on two occasions in his five year spell at the club.
