Eden Hazard confirms that he wants to stay at Chelsea beyond the summer transfer window
Eden Hazard has handed Chelsea a major boost by confirming that he wants to stay at Stamford Bridge beyond the summer.
The Belgian playmaker came in for plenty of criticism last season after he struggled for form and fitness throughout much of the campaign.
His form was in stark contrast to the season before, when his sparkling performances helped Jose Mourinho’s men win the Premier League and League Cup title.
Hazard has been heavily linked with a move away from Chelsea in recent months, with both Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid touted as possible destinations for the playmaker.
However, the 25-year-old has now moved to end the speculation about his immediate future to insist that he is happy to stay at Stamford Bridge and work under new manager Antonio Conte.
Hazard is quoted as saying by The Sun: “Yes, PSG are not part of my plans.
“I have a contract until 2020, I feel good here and I don’t want to finish on a season like that.
“I left Lille as a boss, and I’d like to leave Chelsea as a boss, if I do leave one day. But for the time being I’m here, of course.”
