Manchester United's Louis van Gaal and Ryan Giggs: 'There’s no chemistry between the two of them',

Manchester United management duo Louis van Gaal and Ryan Giggs lack 'chemistry', according to Ian Holloway
The Dutchman appointed Red Devils legend Giggs as his assistant in 2014 and they are coming to the end of their second season working together.
In their first campaign, United secured a fourth-place finish in the Premier League to qualify for the Champions League, but in 2015/16 they have not progressed further up the table - finishing fifth.
"I don’t actually know what he [Giggs] has got - I feel for him," Holloway, who joined the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast as co-host on Friday, said.
"[Giggs] has had a taste of it, with Fergie - he would have been the natural successor to it all.
"They don’t look like they get on, let’s be honest. There’s no chemistry between the two of them is there? We don’t know that but I’m saying it.
"Let’s look at the way he played – you won’t get a better winger than him will you? It’s not going to be floating his boat."
Reports on Friday suggest Manchester United's Ed Woodward accepts the need for change in the summer. The executive vice-chairman is apparently set to ask Van Gaal to move upstairs into a director of football role, with Jose Mourinho coming in as manager.
Holloway added: "Neither can I [believe it].
"Is this just something to put extra pressure on Van Gaal? It is unfair because he doesn’t seem that popular with the press does he.
"I can’t see Van Gaal and Mourinho – yeah they might have worked together before but I can’t see any one of them putting up with that.
