John Terry hires Stamford Bridge pitch for Chelsea farewell party

The 35-year-old has reportedly paid £22,000 to hire the pitch for a shindig with friends, family and colleagues. Terry is out of contract this summer and previously announced that the club had told him he would not be offered a new deal.
There does not appear to have been any late changes to that situation, so the long-serving skipper is now preparing to say his goodbyes after 21 years on the Blues’ books.
Terry has apparently shelled out for a corporate hospitality package that includes use of the dressing rooms, match officials, access to the stadium screens and public address system and a barbecue. So his guests can expect a kickabout and some hot dogs.
Terry is now into the final 10 days of his Chelsea playing career, with at most three games left to add to his 702 first-team appearances for the club to date.
