The proverbial 40th day of a security guard in Syokimau arrived yesterday after he was tricked and caught pants down.
The guard identified as Peter Langat Kipkirui was caught stealing bread from a kiosk in Syokimau. Langat had reportedly been terrorising the bread supplier by stealing from him for about 2 years.
The fed up kiosk owner decided to lay a trap and it worked beautifully.
According to reports, the kiosk owner placed some crates of bread at a strategic place then waited and watched from a distance.
Kipkirui took the bait and he was caught with his hands in the cookie jar. No sooner had he picked up the loaves than locals descended on him giving him a proper beating before tying him to a pole. These photos of the bloodied security guard were doing rounds on social media yesterday.
