Meanwhile, an interview was held on Monday with one of the church’s youthful pastors, David Waerera; who had rushed Pedzai to hospital after the incident. The young pastor dismissed claims that the deceased died in the church premises but at the hospital, pointing that she did not fall during church service, or inside the church building, but was after service when people had gone that she was carried back into the church in an unconscious state.

Pedzai’s family, however, has dismissed claims that their daughter’s death is a mysterious one that should be probed. He argued that it was a natural death which only God would explain.
Muyambo admitted his daughter was not ill when she left home for service that Sunday, but what ever happened occurred during the service:
Muyambo added that he would not want to part with any more information, as that in itself, would tarnish the good prophet’s name.
