Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun aka Wizkid is a Nigeria artiste who began his music career at age 11.
The Starboy as he calls himself gained popularity in the wake of 2009 upon signing a record deal with r’n’b singer, Banky W.
The 26-year-old man has come a long way since he released his debut studio album titled, superstar.
MTV Europe music awards aka EMAs is an event held every year in celebration of various musicians and performers from around the world who the fans deem fit to get an award for their work.
This year, nominations for different categories was released in Septembe and fans got to voting their favourites for the appropraite category.
Among those nominated was Wizkid, who was selescted for best African act alongside other African artistes, including Alikiba, Cassper Nyovest, Black coffee and Nigerian Baddo, Olamide.
The award which held on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at Ahoy Rotterdam, Netherlands had the talented Wizkid awarded the title of Best African act.
This is an addition to the other several awards he already bagged this year, including, Artist of the Year, Best Male and Best Collaboration awards at the recently held 2016 MTV Africa Music Awards.
At this junction, it is safe to say Wizkid is making his way to becoming the most desired African artist in the world.
