Brazilian icon Ronaldo would like to see Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho at his former club Real Madrid.

The 24-year-old joined the Reds in January 2013 from Inter Milan and has developed into one of Europe’s most exciting attacking midfielders.

A regular long-shot goalscorer, Coutinho’s creativity and silky moves has earned him international recognition, and he has been linked with the likes of Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain last summer

However, his compatriot Ronaldo – who spent five years with Los Blancos and scored 104 goals during his time there between 2002 and 2007 – believes it is the Bernabeu where Coutinho should be.

"I would like to see Coutinho at Real Madrid, the Liverpool player," Ronaldo told Onda Cero when asked to name the player he would most like to see join Madrid.
Ronaldo was also asked to choose between Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo or Neymar as the world's best.
"They are three great players," he added. "I would also include Luis Suarez as he is playing very well.

This is the most common question in all interviews
-- I don't know if it is just for me, or for everyone, but when we ask this question we forget that they are three great players.
"It is so difficult to choose just one as the best.

They are very, very good. At the moment I will choose Cristiano as he is playing for Real Madrid, but we cannot forget how good Messi and Neymar are, and we must respect these players for the entertainment they bring us."

Coutinho, who has scored three league goals this season, is a vital part of Jurgen Klopp's exciting frontline and signed a new deal with the Reds in February 2015.

The former Espanyol midfielder was snapped up by Brendan Rodgers for £8.5 million and has become a regular on the international scene in recent months with his country Brazil.
