Manchester United legend claims Ryan Giggs once got violent with Cristiano Ronaldo over a can of Coke

This is quite an incredible anecdote from the inner sanctum of the Manchester United dressing room, revealed by retired Norwegian footballer Jan Aage Fjortoft.
With no background or forewarning, Fjortoft tweeted that Ryan Giggs once pushed Cristiano Ronaldo against a wall over a can of Coke.
The Welshman, famously ascetic and Spartan with his preparation, was apparently livid with Ronaldo for drinking a carbonated beverage at breakfast, and let him no in no uncertain terms.
Beware of embellished dressing room stories
It’s quite a juicy story, but with no hard evidence, it’s hard to know what to make of it.
For starters, the source is sketchy at best.
Fjortoft uses Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as his source, which would imply this story was told to him in a causal private conversation.
And as Ronaldo left United in 2009, we’re talking at least 7-8 years ago, and we all know how stories can become embellished with the passing of time…
