Since Jose Mourinho was named as Louis van Gaal's successor at Manchester United, speculation has been rife over the future of playmaker Juan Mata.
It was Mourinho, of course, who sanctioned Mata's transfer to Old Trafford in the first place after the Spaniard failed to secure a key role under him at Chelsea.
The technically-gifted midfielder didn't appear to fit into Mourinho's plans and was swiftly moved on. Mata, 28, has since enjoyed a steady two and a half years in Manchester, but his game hasn't exactly changed or - more importantly - evolved.
That's why, then, many pundits and fans alike are expecting Mourinho to once again ruthlessly axe him. As uncertainty regarding his future continues to rumble on, Mata - it appears - has just been getting on with it.
Indeed, Mata has today taken to social media following another pre-season training session with the Red Devils.
