Robin van Persie is being linked with a shock return to Arsenal this summer, and fans of the club are absolutely furious at the mere suggestion.
Van Persie was a hero to Gunners supporters everywhere during his time at the Emirates, scoring 37 goals in all competitions during the 2001/2012 season, his final at the club
But as he was about to enter the final year of his contract, van Persie optedto push for a transfer and ended up leaving for Premier League rivals Manchester United – where he fired the Red Devils to the title in his debut campaign.
Now at Fenerbahce, van Persie’s career has stalled somewhat, with rumours that the Dutch international is eager to return to England – and The Telegraph are even suggesting a return to Arsene Wenger’s side is a possibility.
Could he really come back now? At the age of 32?
