All the talk recently has been about Pep Guardiola's Manchester City and Jose Mourinho's Manchester United, which is absolutely understandable, both top clubs with top managers next season.
As usual, people have also been thinking about what Jurgen Klopp'sLiverpool and Arsene Wenger's Arsenal will do too.
However, although Chelsea's season was most certainly one to forget for many, the fact remains that the Blues are still around and shouldn't be dismissed so quickly. In fact, last season might even be a reason to think about that fact. They still are a very powerful force.
After finishing the season with no silverware and an extremely disappointing mid-table finish, for a club like Chelsea, they will have a point to prove next season.
With Antonio Conte now their manager, we may see a very well organised and tough to break down Chelsea team.
The Italian manager has won three consecutive Serie A titles with Juventus, proving that he most certainly knows what he is doing, this before guiding Italy to the quarter-finals of Euro 2016, in which they eliminated Spain, the winners of the last two European Championships.
Chelsea's current squad are proven champions, despite their major slip up during the 2015/2016 campaign, which saw them sack Mourinho.
However, in the 2014/15 season, they won the Capital One Cup and the Premier League, without being knocked off top spot for the entire season.
Despite their disastrous title defence, let us not forget that Chelsea are still a club to be feared, and with some new changes, or without possibly even making many, they can mount a serious title challenge once again.
It remains to be seen how many changes Conte makes to the side, having already brought in Belgium international forward Michy Batshuayi from Marseille, the same club where legendary Didier Drogba made the switch from.
However, the Italian is heavily expected to turn his attentions to Chelsea's defence in the next few weeks, as he looks to drill in his favoured 3-5-2 formation.
