Manchester United are the heavy favourites to sign Raphael Varane from Real Madrid this summer, according to bookmakers BetStars.

The Red Devils have inevitably been linked with a host of players in recent weeks following Jose Mourinho’s appointment as the club’s new manager.
There has been plenty of speculation about players joining United, but the club have thus far only signed 22-year-old defender Eric Bailly from Villarreal.
Mourinho is thought to be on the lookout for further defensive reinforcements, and BetStars have now placed Manchester United as the 15/8 favourites to sign Varane from Real Madrid this summer.
The 23-year-old has fallen down the pecking order at the Bernabeu and has been linked with a move away from the Spanish club in recent weeks
Ian Marmion, trading director at BetStars said in a news release: “Having fallen behind Sergio Ramos and Pepe in the pecking order at Real Madrid, Raphael Varane looks set for the exit door.
“Top Premier League clubs have been linked with the Frenchman, but following heavy backing we’re calling a reunion with the ‘Special One’ and have Manchester United as clear 15/8 favourites for his signature.”
United moved quickly to appoint Mourinho as the club’s new manager last month after sacking Louis van Gaal following their fifth-placed finish in the Premier League.
