JOSE MOURINHO is reportedly open to selling Matteo Darmian this summer, with Barcelona said to be eyeing a deal
Barcelona reportedly want to sign Man Utd's Matteo Darmian
Darmian has already been linked with a move to Serie A champions Juventus, with Italian newspaper Tuttosport suggesting he wants to return to Turin.
But no bid materialised for the right-back, who signed for United from Juve's local rivals Torino last summer.
And fresh reports from the Daily Star claim a move to Spain may be on the cards.
According to the report, Barca are trying to engineer a £16million swoop and are aware that Mourinho is willing to do business.
Nou Camp manager Luis Enrique needs a right-back as Dani Alves seeks an exit from the club.
Barca's director Ariedo Braida knows Darmian from his early days at AC Milan and it is believed that their relationship could help the deal along.
Mourinho is supposedly looking for new recruits in the right-back position for next season, with makeshifts Antonio Valencia and Phil Jones the only men capable of filling Darmian's position.
He has already signed one defender this summer in Villarreal's Eric Bailly for £30m.
