Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s wife doesn’t want to move to Manchester

Manchester United fans excited by the possibility of Zlatan Ibrahimovic arriving at Old Trafford this summer might want to sit down.
According to Goal, the Swedish striker’s wife Helena Seger will have a “vital say” in where the big man ends up this summer and isn’t too keen on a move to Manchester herself.
Zlatan has been strongly linked with a switch to the Red Devils after announcing he will be leaving Paris Saint-Germain this summer, but Helena is drawn to the United States.
The report adds that the Swedish businesswoman wants to move to a major city and preferably one located in America.
Her new A-Z sportswear brand will launch on June 7 and she has eyed Los Angeles or New York as potential destinations, “pending on the creation of a franchise” in Miami.

ZLATAN UNLIKELY TO JOIN LA GALAXY

LA Galaxy remain second favourites to sign Ibrahimovic this summer behind Manchester United, but there’s a problem with that particular potential transfer.
As ESPN pundit Taylor Twellman explained on air earlier this week, the Major League Soccer outfit already have three designated players in their ranks.

“From what I’ve gathered over the last 48 hours is that if Zlatan Ibrahimovic is playing in Major League Soccer in 2016, it will not be in an LA Galaxy uniform,” Twellman commented. “They’ve already got three designated players. The league will not change that rule mid-season.
“If Zlatan Ibrahimovic is in Major League Soccer in 2016, he will not be with the LA Galaxy.”
Reports - per Goal - suggest that Ibrahimovic has a “concrete proposal” from MLS worth a staggering £400,000-a-week - the same wage he currently earns in Paris.

UNITED CAN'T OFFER ZLATAN CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FOOTBALL

This figure is likely to exceed the offer on the table from Man United, who have failed to qualify for next season’s Champions League campaign.
Goal add that, in order to stay in Europe, he
would need the lure of Europe’s premier club competition - the only major trophy he is yet to win during his illustrious career.

United have reportedly offered Zlatan a one-year contract - with the option of a second year - but the lack of Champions League football on offer would be a problem.

BUT COULD MOURINHO LURE HIM TO OLD TRAFFORD?

But the English club’s chances of signing the striker, who has scored a magnificent 48 goals in 50 appearances this season, would increase if Jose Mourinho replaces Louis van Gaal this summer.
Zlatan previously worked under the revered Portuguese coach at Inter Milan and the two men have maintained an excellent relationship ever since.
