With Manchester United tonight confirming the departure of manager Louis van Gaal, it now seems that it will be Mourinho replacing him in the Old Trafford dugout.
BBC Sport broke the news on Saturday evening that Mourinho, who has been out of work since losing his job at Chelsea in December, will be named as United's manager this week.
The Guardian report that Mourinho will go on a £150m spending spree this summer, and two strikers appear to take his fancy despite the emergence of Marcus Rashford at Old Trafford in recent months.
The 23-year-old striker, who is set to lead the line for Spain at this summer's European Championships, has hit 12 goals and nine assists in an impressive season for Juve, and even scored the winning goal in the Italian Cup final against AC Milan on Saturday.
The Argentine striker, also 23, has smashed 16 goals for Inter this season, and his exploits in front of goal appear to have caught Mourinho's eye.
