According to The Guardian, Jose Mourinho wants to make Alvaro Morata one of his first Manchester United signings - but will target Mauro Icardi if he can't land the Spaniard.
With Manchester United tonight confirming the departure of manager Louis van Gaal, it now seems that it will be Mourinho replacing him in the Old Trafford dugout.
BBC Sport broke the news on Saturday evening that Mourinho, who has been out of work since losing his job at Chelsea in December, will be named as United's manager this week.

However, with a host of clubs also keen on Morata, it's also claimed that Mourinho has a backup plan - Inter Milan hitman Mauro Icardi.
The Argentine striker, also 23, has smashed 16 goals for Inter this season, and his exploits in front of goal appear to have caught Mourinho's eye.
