REINA BACK TO MERSEYSIDE…LIVERPOOL KEEN ON SHOCK DEAL TO RE-SIGN ANFIELD HERO

Liverpool are interested in a shock deal to re-sign Pepe Reina this summer, according to reports fromCorriere dello Sport.

The Spanish stopper, who is currently with Napoli, spent eight seasons with the Reds, before moving away to join Bayern Munich after a year on loan in Naples.

Reina endured a tough spell in Germany before relocating to the Stadio San Paolo permanently last summer, but reports claim that Liverpool are already looking at a deal to take him back to Anfield.

It’s understood that the club and manager Jurgen Klopp are attracted to the 33-year-old’s experience, with the former Villarreal stopper having enjoyed a long and successful career.

However, with Liverpool having recently signed Loris Karius from Mainz, they have two senior goalies, so any move for Reina would appear to hinge on Simon Mignolet being moved on.
