Jose Mourinho is expected to get rid of three Manchester United players this summer, according to The Sun

Jose Mourinho will sell three Manchester United players in the summer transfer window, according to a report inThe Sun.

The 53-year-old is being heavily tipped to succeed Louis van Gaal at United after the Dutchman was sacked on Monday night following their fifth-place finish in the Premier League.

Mourinho has already been linked with a move to sign Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic and Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema despite not being confirmed as United manager – yet.

According to a report in The Sun

, the United manager is planning to sell Adnan Januzaj, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Antonio Valencia upon his appointment as the Red Devils next boss.

United missed out a top-four finish after Van Gaal’s side finished in fifth place behind Manchester City in the Premier League table.

The Red Devils haven’t finished in the top four in two of the last three Premier League seasons under David Moyes and Van Gaal.
