Jamie Redknapp makes big claim about Chelsea and Leicester City

Jamie Redknapp discusses Chelsea's demise of the Premier League season

Jamie Redknapp says Chelsea’s demise is almost as big a mystery as Leicester City’s Premier League title triumph this season.

The Blues finished in ninth place in the table and 31 points behind Claudio Ranieri’s side after a 1-1 draw with the newly-crowned Premier League champions at Stamford Bridge on the final day of the season.
Chelsea sacked Jose Mourinho in December following a 2-1 defeat by the Foxes despite winning the west London club’s fourth Premier League title just six months earlier.
Guus Hiddink replaced Mourinho on an interim basis before Italy head coach Antonio Conte was named as Chelsea’s next permanent manager and will take over the reins after Euro 2016.
Former Liverpool and Tottenham midfielder Redknapp suggested that Chelsea’s tumble down the standings in the Premier League is almost as big a shock as Leicester’s title win.
“The demise of Chelsea is almost as big a mystery as Leicester winning the league. It has been staggering. The free fall that we’ve seen,” Redknapp told Sky Sports.
