JOSE MOURINHO should have 'kept his mouth shut' when things were going wrong at Chelsea, claims former player and boss Gianluca Vialli.

Gianluca Vialli says Jose Mourinho should have learned when to keep his mouth shut
Mourinho was sacked by the club for the second time in December following a dismal start to the 2015/16 season.
The Blues' title defence was over before it began, losing nine of their first 16 Premier League games.

And according to Vialli, Mourinho didn't handle the pressure well and should have protected his players by 'keeping his mouth shut'.
"When [the squad returned to pre-season] they were looking strangely tired, as if they had not been able to recharge their batteries," Vialli told website Goal.

They were not prepared to fight.
"Jose probably didn't handle that situation in the right way
"Because he was always very demanding publicly, criticising the players and trying to really push them to achieve more and play better.
"I thought at the time that the players actually needed the opposite treatment. It you're not winning, keep your mouth shut.
