Anthony Martial could be forgiven if he felt a little put out by Jose Mourinho’s decision to hand his No. 9 Manchester United shirt over to Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
It was rumoured over the weekend that the France international was annoyed because he hadn’t been consulted, although a fan who recently spoke with the forward claims he is, in fact, happy to have the No. 11 instead.
Regardless of whether Martial is happy or annoyed by the decision, the way in which his ex-wife Samantha reacted to the news is likely to make the United star roll his eyes.
A few days back Zlatan posted an image on Instagram of his name and new number on a red background, alongside the message: “I chose the number 9 @manchesterunited.”
The Sweden international making it clear, there, that it was his decision to pick No. 9 - and what he says tends to go.
United fans - and those working at 101 Great Goals - then spotted that Samantha reacted to Zlatan’s post by giving it a cheeky like.
Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.
Samantha became a bit of a United fan during her brief time following Anthony at Old Trafford, but it’s hard to imagine her in the second tier of the Stretford End cheering on the shirts when this season gets underway.
Her decision to like Ibrahimovic’s post is certainly a bit of an odd one.

Sadly, the split between Anthony and Samantha hasn’t just affected the two adults - it will also have a big impact on their young daughter, Peyton.
However, Anthony is still in contact with his young child, judging by his recent Instagram uploads.
Just last week he posted a photo of himself and Peyton, alongside the caption: “Night bath with my angel 👶🏽“.
