The former Red Devils defender is asked who he would choose out of the Portugal superstar and his former England captain

They're pin-ups who transcend football, who became household names atManchester United and went into the stratosphere at Real Madrid , but who is best -Cristiano Ronaldo or David Beckham?

Rio Ferdinand played with them both during the golden years at Old Trafford under Sir Alex Ferguson, so is in a better position than most to answer the question.

Can he split them? Of course not.

"Can't compare them," Ferdinand tells his FIVE magazine YouTube channel. "Very different players.

"Ronaldo, his output in terms of goals is not comparable. Becks is the best crosser of the ball I've ever seen in my life - he could be running at full speed, look up, radar boot, into the box onto anyone's head.

"But Cristiano probably has more to his game in terms of taking people on, beating people... more explosive, changing a game with a moment of brilliance. But different players. You'd love to have both on your team."
