Luis Suarez has called on Barcelona to make a move to sign Atletico Madrid forward Luciano Vietto after Luis Enrique confirmed he was in the market for a new striker.
While Suarez is likely to remain the first-choice front man at Camp Nou next season, Enrique admitted he wanted another option to add a different dimension to the one the Uruguayan currently offers.
He told reporters: "We're looking for a pure striker, who moves close to the area without dropping wide, because we have a lot of players for the wings, like Denis, Arda [Turan], Andres [Iniesta]. [We want] a true striker, who has goals."
And Suarez believes Vietto fits the bill perfectly despite struggling to get first team action under Diego Simeone at the Vicente Calderon last season.
In fact, the 2015/16 campaign was certainly one to forget for the 22-year-old. He managed just one La Liga goal in 19 appearances for Atleti and a further two in other competitions.
