Manchester City’s draw at home to Arsenal dealt them a major blow in their pursuit of Champions League football for next season.
Win that and United will go into the final day of the Premier League season a point ahead of City meaning they would only have to beat Bournemouth at home to deny Pep Guardiola Champions League football in his first season at the Etihad.
The game was Manuel Pellegrini’s last at the Etihad Stadium but he will hope his side can do a job away to Swansea and that United slip up in the meantime.
