Liverpool and Manchester City suffer blow in Marc-Andre ter Stegen pursuit
The Barcelona goalkeeper has revealed he wants to stay at the Nou Camp next season despite interest from the Premier League
Ter Stegen has been used as a 'cup' goalkeeper at the Catalans, mainly appearing in the Champions League and Copa del Rey while Claudio Bravo takes the gloves in La Liga.
The German has been consistently linked with both Liverpool and City, with the Reds in particular reportedly in the market for a new goalkeeper.
However, Ter Stegen has said he is determined to fight for his place under Luis Enrique.
“I’m very happy here and I want to stay here, with the life I have,” he said. “It’s a lovely place to live.
“You can never relax and you always have to give everything. Both myself and Claudio and Jordi (Masip) want to play and we work week after week to do so.
“I think that this idea is good for the team, too, because we’re always ready.”
