Following the semi-final victory over Villarreal which set up a showdown with Sevilla on May 18,
 Klopp had invited thousands of Liverpool fans to travel to the Swiss city even if they didn't have
a ticket.

Liverpool have been given just over 10,000 tickets for the final at St Jakob-Park, meaning
demand would be far higher than the supply.The Anfield club today issued a statement urging ticketless fans not to travel and Klopp admitted after the win over Watford that his initial comments had been made as a supporter.

"Last time I spoke about Basel, I spoke like a supporter," the German said.

"I do it sometimes because first of all I am a supporter, I like this game.

“Basel is a nice city but it is not ready for us. It was my mistake”
