Is this the biggest clue yet that Louis van Gaal will remain Manchester United boss?

LOUIS VAN GAAL vetoed Manchester United's proposed move for Renato Sanches in the biggest hint yet that he will remain manager.

GETTY VETO: Louis van Gaal blocked a proposed move for Renato Sanches
United had been linked with Sanches since the winter having scouted the Benfica midfielder on several occasions.

But German giants Bayern Munich today confirmed they had signed the 18-year-old in a £28m deal, which could eventually rise to £63m.
The Daily Telegraph claim that Van Gaal blocked a deal to take Sanches to Old Trafford due to the high transfer fee and will instead pursue other targets.
Van Gaal's position at United has been the subject of intense speculation due to the Red Devils' stuttering season and the availability of Jose Mourinho, who was sacked by Chelsea in December.
However, United's board have been split over whether to sack the Dutchman and the 64-year-old has told friends he believes he will remain in charge if he secures a top four spot and win the FA Cup.
United will qualify for next season's Champions League if they win their final two league games against West Ham and Bournemouth while they face Crystal Palace in the FA Cup final on May 21.
